For well over a decade, Mr. Cook has been connecting the worlds of science and business by converting abstract concepts into tangible business solutions which are practical and valuable. Since co-founding JumpStart Point of Arrival in late 2005, he has assisted organizations within both the profit and non-profit sectors to develop and implement initiatives that improve efficiency, increase response, and foster growth. Prior to this, Mr. Cook served as a statistician within the Business Analysis team at The Columbia House Company, where he conducted database analysis and data mining research in support of business policy decisions, assisted in the architecture of data warehousing and open server solutions, and implemented credit screening modifications in support of corporate directives. Prior still, Mr. Cook served as a statistician within the Credit Management team at BMG Direct. In this position, he constructed regression models, recommended policy and procedural modifications, and performed customer profile/segmentation analyses, all designed to increase profitability, lower costs, and reduce fraud and bad debt. Mr. Cook holds advanced degrees in Mathematics from Georgetown College and Indiana University, has been listed in Who’s Who, and is an active member of the American Statistical Association and Phi Kappa Tau fraternity. He currently resides in Indianapolis, where he enjoys hiking with his dog, reading an eclectic collection of books, following Kentucky Wildcats basketball, and supporting several of his favorite charities.
